Sweet Sisters

This picture melts my heart! Like literally makes me smile and say "awww" every time I see it!
Katelyn is such an A.M.A.Z.I.N.G big sister! She adores baby girl. Every day when she gets home from school the first thing she wants to do before getting her snack, playing with her favorite toys, or watching a show is pick up her girl!

She loves to hold Madelyn and now that she can do it on her own she thinks it is the coolest thing ever. They have a special bond already. Pretty much anyone can make Madelyn "light up" but she has a special look for her big sissy!

I love how much they love one another. I know the fights and sister rivalry will come soon enough but the underlying bond is what is so neat to watch as it develops even at this age.

Katelyn was beyond precious the other day. She said, "Mom, remember when you told me that we were having a baby and I wasn't super happy at first? Well, I feel really bad about that. Because (she started to tear up) Madelyn makes me so happy and I wouldn't trade her for anything!" MELT.MY.HEART!!
